CJS launch new Pallet Sector CPD

CJS are very proud to officially launch a new CPD Course for the Timber Pallet Sector. The Continuing Professional Development Course entitled “Timber Pallets & Logistics” forms part of Forest Industries Ireland (FII)’s Timber Spec series of now 12 courses which offers a comprehensive overview of the use of timber as an attractive, practical and sustainable construction and packaging material.

“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to collaborate with Forest Industries Ireland on the development of this practical yet revolutionary CPD Course”, said Ashleigh Doyle, Director at CJS who also sits on FII’s Marketing & Promotion Sub-Committee. “As Ireland’s largest manufacturer and recycler of timber pallets and the only in our sector with a vertically integrated sawmills, Coolrain Sawmills, we were in a good position to assist in developing comprehensive and industry representative course content. This course will be an excellent tool not only for the pallet sector itself but for any business that uses or handles pallets as part of the supply chain. Course modules include pallet type identification, pallet design, pallet handling and best practice, sustainability and carbon sequestration”.

The Timber Spec series are free online courses that cover a wide range of engaging topics including sustainability, structural timber, durability, landscape applications and many more. They comprise of animated video, interactive content and also have regular knowledge checks.
